Description

Our Lord Jesus Christ is depicted as the Good Shepherd (Ο Ποιμένας Καλός) carrying a sheep, representing each one of us, on His shoulders. We can see the Cross behind Him to remind us that He gave His life for each one of us — in His own words: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep." (John 10:11).

May this beautiful icon always bring us comfort in the knowledge that Christ never ceases to chase after us when we go astray.
